Stones and the Temple. Will God’s People be in an Organized church when Jesus Returns. Lorraine Day, M.D. The Bible uses the word “temple” to refer to several entities: First, we know that there was a physical Temple in Jerusalem.
But there was (is) ALSO a spiritual or symbolic Temple. Temple is a thriller novel written by Australian author Matthew Reilly and first published in Like Reilly's other books, Temple's major attractions are the fast pace and the complexity of the action scenes.
At the time of publication, Reilly hinted at the possibility of a sequel starring the same protagonist, Professor William Race, but the release of such a book has never been Author: Matthew Reilly. “Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be toppled.” 3 While Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately.
As the fire set by the Romans in 70 AD raged through the sanctuary in the Temple, quantities of silver and gold, which had been placed there for safe-keeping, melted and ran down between the stones. Roman soldiers tore apart the stones to retrieve the gold and silver, literally leaving “not one stone left upon another” as Yeshua had foretold forty years earlier as recorded in Matthew Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings.
“Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.” (MatthewNIV) In this verse Jesus foretells the destruction of the Temple.
Yet above the obvious artistry, what is truly ingenious about the work of the temple builders is the fact that each stone was quarried some miles away from its final resting place. The same is true of sacred sites such as Stonehenge, whose 30 ton bluestones were transported miles across mountains, vales, rivers, estuaries, and plains.
Therefore, fulfilling Jesus' prophecy that no stone would be left on another—the destruction was total, just as Jesus foretold.

Question: "Why is God going to give us a white stone with a new name (Revelation )?" Answer: In the Bible, there is only one reference to God giving us a white stone with a new name: “To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it” (Revelation ).

Horizontally layered local limestone was used to build Herod’s Temple. A foundation stone is something different, a most often crafted stone that is the start of a foundation. Also, that rock ain’t a “threshing floor” and afaik no description of the temple ever mentions such a rough, uneven rock protruding anywhere.
That would have been rather unsual for a temple, and certainly someone would have recorded that. This Temple had a stone which was rejected, Jesus refers his listeners to that stone and they must have known the story he is referring to. Then Jesus calls them to understand the spiritual meaning of the stone rejected by the builders as having its fulfillment in himself.
Another stone with a complete Greek inscription was discovered in by Clermont-Ganneau near the St. Stephen’s Gate north of northeastern corner of the Temple Mount.
